Thank You for your interest in my GoFundMe campaign.
I would like to establish some guidelines so to give you a better understanding of what it is I aim to achieve.
1.The primary objective is to raise funds in order to review technological equipment based on user’s requests. Once reviewed the items will be either donated to charity or sold with the proceeds of the sale going to the charity.
2. What items can I review? Any product that is IT related in a consumer or small business spectrum. Desktop computers, components, laptops, smart phones, tablets, USB keys, networking devices, etc.
3. What about software? Yes we can review software, applications and games so long as they do not promote derogatory content.
4. How does it work? There are a few steps to the process from A to Z;
- You make a donation and mention which product you would like to see reviewed. Please make sure that your donation amount can cover the cost of purchasing the item.
- I purchase the item requested with the funds you donated.
- I review the item for a period of 5 to 60 days depending on the item. For example a mouse would be reviewed for a week where as a laptop or desktop may take up to 60 days to review.
- One or more video, mentioning the donor’s name will be published to our YouTube Channel and blog.
- The item will be donated to a charity or sold with the proceeds of the sale going to charity. For example, a laptop can be donated to charity directly where as a wireless network adapter or headset will be sold and the proceeds of the sale will be donated. You will be provided with a link to follow the sale of the item on EBay.
5. Why am I doing this? Because I love to try out new technology but cannot invest my own money nor my employer’s money into this endeavour. I think it would be unfair to keep the items after review so I wish to help out others with my own project by assisting charities in the Montreal area that help out the needy.
6. What are some charities that I would donate to? Here are some examples;
